Alskin is a certified natural cosmetics brand inspired by marine science. Its philosophy is rooted in personal care without forgetting environmental responsibility, making the most of natural resources to benefit the skin—adapting to each body in a natural and effective way. With the brand and packaging redesign, we aimed to achieve a more elevated positioning that communicates its values of sustainability and certified quality.
The entire redesign project revolves around sustainability. We based our visual approach on the use of three key colors: the white of the paper, the black of the product bottles, and green as the corporate color representing the main ingredient—seaweed. The result is a unisex, sustainable, and elegant design that communicates the brand’s core values using the fewest elements possible.
We created all brand content using typographic elements, complemented by minimalist graphics made solely with a single black line. Our goal was to transport the consumer to the sea using only typography and color.
Additionally, we directed the art for all brand content. We produced photographs in which the product is integrated into the sea—or the sea becomes part of the product. On one hand, we captured imagery in wild marine settings, where the product appears surrounded by water, rocks, and algae. On the other hand, we designed indoor still-life compositions, incorporating these same elements in a relaxed yet elegant way, always giving the spotlight to the product.
